Azerbaijan starts selling hazelnuts to another country

In January-November 2021, Azerbaijan exported 16,949.98 tons of hazelnuts (shelled and unshelled) to the tune of $97,472,080, up 0.8% and down 5.63%, respectively, from the previous year, Report says, citing the State Statistics Committee.

Throughout the reporting period, 7,800.39 tons of hazelnut worth $45,015,970 was exported to Russia; 4,388.15 tons worth $27,681,210 to Italy; 2,242.02 tones worth $14,984,860 to Germany; 1,170.89 tons worth $2,569,890 to Kazakhstan, and 220 tons worth $1,404,000 to Luxembourg.

After two years and nine months, exports to the UAE have resumed. Last year, Azerbaijan exported 1.01 tons of hazelnuts ($8,940) to Canada, 0.03 tons ($200) to the United Arab Emirates for the first time. 1.01 tons worth $8,940 were exported to Canada and 0.03 tons worth $2,000 to the United Arab Emirates.
