Ukraine changes rules of entry for foreigners

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has amended the current rules for crossing the border, providing for the abolition of the requirement for a negative PCR test for foreign children under 12 years old, Speaker of the State Border Service Andriy Demchenko said, Report informs referring to Ukraine media.

"Foreigners, children under the age of 12, when crossing the border, no longer need to have a negative PCR test done 72 hours before crossing the border," Demchenko noted.

Foreigners and stateless persons who permanently reside in the territory of Ukraine must henceforth also self-isolate.

“That is, if such citizens want to enter Ukraine, they need to self-isolate by installing the ‘Vdoma’ application,” the speaker explained.

In addition, it is envisaged that the categories of persons who need to self-isolate - citizens of Ukraine, foreigners and stateless persons permanently residing in Ukraine - can avoid self-isolation by providing a negative result of a PCR test made 72 hours before crossing the state border.

Demchenko reminded that earlier the test results were in force for 48 hours.
