Number of tourists travelling from Azerbaijan abroad grows by 18%

In January-September 2019, the number of Azerbaijani citizens travelled to foreign countries rose by 17.9% to 4,201,500,000, Report informs citing State Statistical Committee (SSC).

Of these people, 36.3% went to Iran, 29% to Georgia, 17.5% to Russia, 11.8% to Turkey, 5.4% to other countries, Among the travelers, 63.8% was men, 36.2% were women.

The number of Azerbaijani citizens travelling to Iran increased by 39.1%, to Georgia – by 12.7%, to Russia – by 6.2% and to Turkey – by 4.7%.
