Number of Azerbaijani tourists in Mexico increased

The number of tourists visiting Mexico from Azerbaijan has increased, Report informs reports citing Ambassador of Mexico to Azerbaijan Rodrigo Labardini.

"In 2018, 506 Azerbaijani tourists visited Mexico, and 622 tourists came from Mexico to Azerbaijan," he said. The diplomat stressed that in comparison with 2017, these figures in 2018 rose by 19.06% and 8.93%, respectively. At the same time, Azerbaijani tourists prefer to visit such Mexican cities as Riviera, Maya and the capital of Mexico City.

The ambassador also noted that the opening of Istanbul-Cancun (Mexico) flights in August 2019 year can also contribute to the growth of tourist traffic between Azerbaijan and Mexico.
