Hasan Tufan: 'Our goal is to promote Shusha in ECO member countries'

The goal of choosing the city of Shusha as a tourist capital is to promote this city in the member countries of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), ECO tourism program officer Hasan Tufan told Report.

He said that later, the member countries will promote this in the tourism events and exhibitions they participate in: "Also, after Shusha becomes the tourism capital in 2026, we will ask Azerbaijan to hold several events there. The declaration of Shusha as the tourism capital will increase the overall tourism potential of Karabakh."

He noted that with the liberation of Karabakh from occupation, quite a few travelers and YouTube bloggers from a number of countries, especially Türkiye, visited the region and promoted it.
