Florian Sengstschmid: Information provided by guides - important for tourists

“The Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) under the State Tourism Agency cooperates with international guiding institutes and the Azerbaijan Accreditation Center to certify tourism guides following local and international standards,” the ATB CEO Florian Sengstschmid said during the presentation of the accreditation certificate to the certification body of tourist guides, Report informs.

Sengstschmid added that the accreditation of guides will contribute to the development of tourism.

According to him, the information provided by the guides is important for tourists visiting Azerbaijan.

Emin Zeynalov, acting director-general of the Azerbaijan Accreditation Center, said that the accreditation of the guides takes place as a result of cooperation between the ATB and the organization it represents.

“It is not our first such cooperation. We have previously cooperated in issuing star certificates to hotels." he said.
