Baku – one of most popular cities among Russian tourists

The most popular travel destinations among Russian tourists have been identified, Report informs citing RIA Novosti.

The specialists of the online service Tutu.ru analyzed the data of user bookings and found out that flights from Moscow to Istanbul, Baku, Tashkent and Osh are of the greatest interest. In total, these areas account for approximately 12 percent of search queries.

About six percent of those flying abroad are going to Istanbul and Baku.

Travelers are also interested in Antalya, Bishkek, Dushanbe, Tel Aviv and Chisinau.

Analysts note that bookings rate of air tickets abroad remains low. Among those who cleared travel documents between May 1 and May 11, some 74 percent planned a flight in the same month, 18 percent in June, six percent in July, and less than two percent in August and September.
