Azerbaijan showcasing tourism opportunities in Germany

Azerbaijan is showcasing its tourism potential in Germany at ITB Berlin, one of the world’s top tourism fairs, organized by the State Tourism Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijan Tourism Bureau, Report informs, citing the agency.

Azerbaijan is represented by 14 industry partners, including Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC, hotel and tourism businesses, at the national pavilion.

The exhibition features B2B meetings with tourism professionals from other countries, where possible collaborations are discussed.

Visitors also learn about Azerbaijan’s history, cultural heritage sites on the UNESCO World Heritage List, national cuisine, Slow Food and Slow Wine concepts, and other tourism attractions.

The exhibition also displays VR (Virtual Reality) glasses that allow visitors to see images of Azerbaijan’s tourism offerings.

The national pavilion was visited by Nasimi Agayev, the ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Germany, Zurab Pololikashvili, Secretary General of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), and Julia Simpson, President and CEO of the World Travel and Tourism Council.
