Azerbaijan's new law on tourism to cover guides as well

"Unfortunately, so far, no one has been able to bring together guides that are important for tourism," the Chairman of the State Tourism Agency Fuad Naghiyev said during the presentation of the accreditation certificate to the certification body of tourist guides, Report informs.

"The main issue for tour guides is to know the Azerbaijani language. I am confident that the development of guides in line with international standards will affect the sector's growth. A new law on tourism has been prepared and sent to the Parliament. The bill includes tour guides. A special register of guides will be created, and they will be accredited," Naghiyev noted.
