Air travels from Georgia to Azerbaijan rise by over half

Overall, 191,670 passengers were transported by air from Russia to Azerbaijan in the first three months of this year, up 9% from the same period in 2023, Report informs, referring to the State Tourism Agency of Azerbaijan.

During the reporting period, most passengers who visited Azerbaijan by air transport came from Russia.

In this direction, Türkiye ranked second with 157,687 passengers, representing a 17.8 percent increase from the same period last year.

Meanwhile, 95,197 passengers came to Azerbaijan from the United Arab Emirates by air and 50,454 from Georgia in the first quarter of 2024. This is an increase of 39 percent and 52.5 percent, respectively, compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
