Beijing 2022: Non-vaccinated athletes must serve 21-day quarantine

Athletes to participate in the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics must be fully vaccinated against the novel coronavirus at least 14 days before entering China. Otherwise, the athletes will have to be quarantined for 21 days, Report informs, citing the initial version of the sanitary regulations in Beijing, published on the official website of the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

Exceptions may be made for athletes and members of delegations who cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons.

The participants of the games will be tested for coronavirus first in their countries and then at Beijing Airport. Besides, the athletes and members of delegations will be tested daily during their stay.

Fourteen days before leaving for the Olympics, the visitors and athletes need to download the My 2022 app, which is designed to monitor the visitors' health, and enter the necessary information there. It is forbidden to visit facilities that are not specified in the rules.
