1,238 twins, 36 triplets born in Azerbaijan this year

In 5 months of this year the regional (city) registration offices of the Ministry of Justice registered 56,254 newborns.

Report informs citing the State Statistics Committee that the indicator in 1,000 people remained the same (13.7) compared to the same period of the last year.

There were 1,238 twins and 36 triplets among newborns.

In addition, in January-May the country recorded 24,690 deaths, which was a drop from 6.2 to 6.0 in 1,000 people as compared to the same period of the last year.
