Coronavirus: What will be rules for mosques?

"The Caucasus Muslims Office regularly made proposals to the relevant authorities to open mosques. At the same time, people approached us. Finally, from June 10, worship will be possible in mosques. Religious rites and worship will be carried out under the rules of the quarantine regime."

Haji Shahin Hasanli, an authorized representative of the chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office (CMO), a cleric, told Report.

According to him, religious communities will monitor compliance with the rules:

"The issue will become more specific in the coming days. In any case, traditional rules will be applied to prevent infection. These are, as everyone knows, disinfection measures and distance protection. Mosques were regularly disinfected and will be re-disinfected before opening. Communities will explain the rules to visitors. In any case, it is not such a complicated process."

Haji Shahin also clarified how to perform Friday prayers: "All will be done in accordance with the rules."
