There can be no talk of a grain deal without Russia’s participation, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said at a briefing, Report's Russian bureau informs.
Zakharova was answering a question from NEWS.ru regarding the Turkish media reports about the possibility of a grain deal without Russia’s participation.
“If we are talking about an agreement in which Russia participates, then it cannot work without the Russian Federation. It is physically impossible. If we are talking about some other agreements in which Russia is not a participant, then it is necessary to write about it like that,” Zakharova emphasized.
She also noted that the grain deal will be one of the topics of discussion at the upcoming talks in Moscow between Sergey Lavrov and his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan.
