World Bank allocates $62M to energy sector in Georgia

The World Bank (WB) has allocated $62 million to energy sector in Georgia, Report informs.

WB and Finance Ministry of Georgia have signed relevant contract.

The document was signed by Mercy Tembon, the World Bank's Regional Director for the South Caucasus, and Georgian Finance Minister Ivane Machavariani.

Mercy Tembon said that the project will enhance energy supply in the regions of Georgia, contribute to elimination of energy-related problems.

Ivane Machavariani noted that this decision will have a positive impact on the citizens' welfare.
