US secretary of state, Kazakh deputy PM meet in Astana

Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister – Foreign Minister Mukhtar Tleuberdi has met with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken in Astana, Report informs referring to Tengrinews.kz.

Blinken arrived in Astana on an official visit this night. This is his first trip as secretary of state to Kazakhstan.

On the same day, Astana will host a ministerial meeting of the foreign affairs ministers of the Central Asian countries and the US in the C5+1 format with the participation of Blinken.

The meeting will focus on issues of further cooperation between the Central Asian countries and the US in the field of economy, energy, environmental protection and the fight against terrorism.
