US prefers peaceful solution to Russia, Ukraine conflict

"We prefer a peaceful solution to the situation between Russia and Ukraine," US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said in Kyiv, Ukraine on January 19, RIA Novosti reported.

"I sincerely hope that the talks will continue diplomatically and peacefully. Russia has repeatedly stated that it does not intend to attack Ukraine," he said.

Antony Blinken is visiting Ukraine.
