In order to mitigate the consequences of the 2020 economic crisis and resolve political problems, the Armenian government continued to build up public debt and brought this figure to $9.97 billion, Report informs citing the Armenian media.
In 2021, Armenia's public debt increased by $1.3 billion or 16%, while in January-July this year, this figure amounted to $748.36 million.
The current government has increased the public debt by $3.1 billion, or 45.2%.
Domestic debt of Yerevan for seven months of this year increased by 18.4%.
