Ukrainian MoD: Intensive fighting continues in Donetsk and Tavriya directions

The Russian troops continued offensive operations within the Eastern Operational Zone in order to gain full control over Donetsk Region and Luhansk Region and maintain a land route between these territories and the temporarily occupied Crimea, Report informs, citing the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"Russians did not take active action in the Volyn and Polissya directions. The units of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus are checking the combat readiness of the response forces. They continue to build up the air defense system, logistics, and fire damage. Carries out regrouping and restoration of combat capability of units. In the Donetsk and Tavriya directions, Russian forces continue to conduct active hostilities," the General Staff said on Facebook.

According to official information, fifteen air targets had been hit by the Air Force and Land Forces of the AFU in the past 24 hours: "Fourteen Orlan drones and one aircraft. In the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts, defenders of Ukraine repulsed eleven enemy attacks and destroyed eight tanks, eleven units of armored combat vehicles, and five units of enemy vehicles."
