Ukrainian army launches counteroffensive near Kharkiv

The Ukrainian defense forces shot down a Russian plane near the city of Izyum, and launched a counteroffensive near Kharkov in some areas, Chairman of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleg Synyehubov said in his Telegram channel, Report informs, citing UNIAN.

"Fighting continues in the Izyum direction. Today, the mobile air defense units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Izyum region destroyed a Russian Su-34 fighter. This is one of the newest aircraft of the enemy army," Synyehubov said.

At the same time, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to hold positions near Kharkov, in some areas they have launched a counteroffensive.

"The shelling continued in Kharkiv this night, the occupiers struck from long-range weapons - about 15 times. During the night, Kharkiv rescuers were dispatched to the sites of the fires caused by the shelling by occupiers in Moskovskyi and Sloboda Districts," the report says.

In addition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine expelled the invaders from Husarovka.
