Ukraine's position on preventing territorial losses goes in line with Türkiye's principled stance, Liudmyla Buimister, a member of the Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada (Parliament), told Report.
"Russia will never enter into negotiations regarding the return of Crimea. However, Ukraine considers Crimea as the territory of indigenous people. We have always supported the Crimean Tatars and accepted 300,000 people who fled from the occupation. We cannot betray the Crimean Tatars. Many Muslim countries support us on this issue.
Therefore, our position on this matter has always been unified, and we are grateful to Türkiye, especially President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, for the support shown," Buimister stated.
