Turkiye, EU to hold talks on illegal immigration

First Deputy Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, Interior Minister Vít Rakušan, is preparing for the meeting of the interior ministers of the EU countries and Turkiye on the problems of combating illegal migration, Prime Minister Petr Fiala told journalists, Report informs.
"Turkiye plays a key role in solving the current problems related to migration in the EU. This key is not only about Turkiye’s detention of illegal refugees. It is able to influence the regulation of the situation in countries with migration problems," he said.
The Czech government extended its checks on the border with Slovakia by another 20 days, seeking to control a spike in the flow of illegal migrants.
