Turkish President: "EU is a blind mouthpiece of Greeks on Cyprus issue"

"The Greeks could not have got rid of the mentality of seeing themselves as the sole owner of the island and ignoring the Turkish Cypriots. Unfortunately, the European Union has blindly ignored the rights of the Turkish Cypriots, who are an integral part of the same geography, while speaking on behalf of the Greek side," Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan told a meeting with EU ambassadors, Report informs.

"We continue to work with the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to resolve the Cyprus issue in a way that benefits all parties based on the realities on the island. The recognition of the sovereign equality and equal international status of the Turkish Cypriots will pave the way for a solution," he said.
