Turkish Interior Minister: Those who pursued US-oriented policy will be considered traitors

Turkish Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu said that he would consider all those who pursue a policy of upholding US interests in the country to be traitors, Report informs via T24 portal.

"I want to emphasize that from now on, whoever pursues a policy oriented towards America, whether it be parties or individuals, will be declared a traitor in this country. Türkiye has reached such a point, all sides in these elections are known. It is obvious what they in the United States plan to do to Türkiye," Soylu said.

Earlier, he repeatedly accused the United States of interfering in the electoral process in Türkiye. Ahead of the first round of the presidential elections, the interior minister said that the US plans to interfere in them are intensifying, and accused Washington of planting fabricated videos that caused candidate Muharrem Ince to drop out of the presidential race. According to Soylu, US President Joe Biden is personally behind all the actions targeting Türkiye.
