Turkish army neutralizes nine terrorists in northern Syria

Security forces of the Turkish Armed Forces neutralized nine militants of the YPG (the Syrian wing of PKK) in the zones of anti-terrorist operations 'Peace Spring', 'Olive Branch,' and 'Euphrates Shield' in northern Syria.

Report informs that the Turkish Ministry of National Defense said the PKK/YPG militants were preparing terrorist attacks in the areas controlled by the Turkish army.

The defense ministry stressed the determination of the Turkish side to completely eliminate the threat of terrorism in the region.

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said earlier that since 1984, when the PKK militants first carried out a terrorist attack in Turkiye, thousands of Turkish security forces, military, and civilians have died at the hands of this bloody organization.
