Tornike Rizhvadze has announced his resignation as the Head of the Adjara Autonomous Republic government in Georgia, Report informs via GPB.
In a Facebook post, he stated that he had served in this position for seven years and felt that it was “high time for changes.”
“I would like to wish success to my successor and express my gratitude to the founder of the Georgian Dream party, Mr. Bidzina Ivanishvili, for allowing me to serve my region. I also thank Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and President Mikheil Kavelashvili for their support during my tenure as government chairman. I am grateful to each employee, party member, and my team. My special thanks go to the people of Adjara for their trust. I will remain a loyal soldier of the Georgian Dream, and I am convinced that we have more victories ahead,” Rizhvadze wrote.
