Tokayev: Hundreds of people died and wounded in Almaty by terrorists

Hundreds of civilians and military personnel have been injured and killed in Almaty due to the actions of terrorists. Report informs, citing RIA Novosti that Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said this during his address to the nation.

"We had to deal with armed and trained bandits, both local and foreign. They are exactly bandits and terrorists. Therefore, they need to be destroyed and this will be done in the near future," Tokayev said.

The president of Kazakhstan noted that a single command post was involved in the training and leadership of the militants in Kazakhstan.

“In addition to the militants, there were specialists, trained in ideological sabotage, skillfully using disinformation or 'fakes' capable of manipulating people's moods. It seems that a single command post was involved in their training and leadership. The National Security Committee and the Prosecutor-General's Office are dealing with this."
