The process of signing a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan has not reached a deadlock, according to Armenian Parliament Speaker Alen Simonyan.
Report informs that in an interview with journalists, Simonyan expressed confidence in the process, stating, "I don't think the process is stuck. It may have been a bit unexpected for Azerbaijan when we proposed signing an agreement."
Simonyan emphasized that both Armenia and Azerbaijan have the strength to independently resolve their own issues.
Earlier this month, Azerbaijan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that negotiations with Armenia had concluded on the draft peace agreement. However, Azerbaijan has made it clear that for the peace deal to be finalized, Armenia must meet two conditions: remove territorial claims against Azerbaijan from its Constitution and support the dissolution of the OSCE Minsk Group and its associated bodies.
