Russian troops shell Kharkiv, killing 6, wounding many more

Russian troops shelled the Saltyvka district in Kharkiv. Six people died and 16 were injured in the attack, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleh Synyehubov said on his Telegram page.

"Unfortunately, the number of casualties as a result of the shelling of Saltyvka has increased: 6 people were killed, 16 were injured," he wrote.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the shelling of Kharkiv by the Russians is a vile and cynical blow to civilians, 'which has no justification and demonstrates the impotence of the aggressor.'

"When you hear about Kharkiv's Saltyvka, it's pain again. Pain for the whole of Ukraine. Pain for Kharkiv," he said.

According to Zelenskyy, the exact number of dead and wounded is yet to be established.
