"As a goodwill gesture, Russian troops have today completed the performance of tasks on Snake Island and withdrawn the garrison stationed there,".
Russia's Defense Ministry also explained the move by saying that Russia is not hindering UN efforts to establish a humanitarian corridor for agricultural exports.
"The decision will not allow Kyiv to speculate on the impending food crisis, citing the impossibility of grain exports due to Russia's full control over the northwestern part of the Black Sea," the ministry said.
Today, Ukraine's Operational Command South announced the liberation of Snake Island. Andriy Yermak, the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, confirmed the information.
