Russia, US could communicate in next few days — Russian MFA

Russian and US officials could communicate with each other in the next few days, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told TASS, Report informs.

She made the statement after US President Donald Trump announced earlier on Tuesday that officials from both countries could meet on Tuesday or Wednesday.

"We do not rule out contacts with US representatives within the next few days," Zakharova said to a question on the subject.

Trump also said he planned to call Russian President Vladimir Putin in the next couple of days to discuss the situation around Ukraine. According to the US president, "it takes two to tango."
