Russia consistently advocates for the comprehensive unblocking of all transport and economic communications in the South Caucasus, while unconditionally considering the interests of all involved parties, stated Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, at a briefing on Wednesday, according to Report.
Zakharova recalled the 9th point of the trilateral statement from November 9, 2020, which addresses the unblocking of transport routes in the region. She affirmed that the Russian side remains "100% committed to its obligations."
"We are confident that such a formula serves the interests of not only Baku and Yerevan but also all neighbors in the region, including Russia, Iran, and Türkiye," the spokesperson says.
Zakharova noted that the trilateral working group on the issue of unblocking communications was created based on agreements. However, she hinted that its work has slowed down, saying, "Unfortunately, not through our fault, the work in this group has stalled. I think you can guess whose fault it is."
