Russia confirms over 1,100 COVID-19 cases per day

Russia reported 1,154 confirmed cases of coronavirus infection over the previous day, 11 have died, 88 recovered. 

Report says, citing the Operative Headquarters of the country.

According to information, the number of infected persons reached 7,497, bringing the death toll to 58. In total, 494 patients have recovered from the disease. Russia has so far conducted 795,000 coronavirus tests in the country.

The coronavirus infection began to spread in the Chinese city of Wuhan in December last year. 209 states and regions have already reported on confirmed cases.

The number of people infected with coronavirus globally has so far exceeded 1,347,000, 286,469 of those recovered, while 74,792 died.

The World Health Organization (WHO) named the infection COVID-19 on February 11. On March 11, the organization declared the coronavirus a pandemic.
