Citizens of several countries participated in organizing the terrorist attack in the Crocus City Hall near Moscow, and financed it, among other things, using cryptocurrency, the head of Rosfinmonitoring Yuri Chikhanchin said at an international forum dedicated to current issues of combating money laundering and the financing of terrorism, Report informs via TASS.

“Investigative measures have not yet been completed, but preliminary results show that citizens of several countries participated in organizing the terrorist attack. And the financing of the terrorist attack was provided by numerous financial organizations using various instruments, including cryptocurrency,” he said.

On the evening of March 22, before the start of the concert of the Picnic group, several men burst into Crocus City Hall and opened fire on visitors and staff. A fire broke out in the building. According to the latest data, 144 people were killed and 551 injured.
