Protests ongoing in Yerevan, over dozen detained

16 people have been nabbed outside the prosecutor general's office in Yerevan due to clashes between police officers and protest participants.

Report informs, citing news.am, that police officers use force to apprehend citizens. A cameraman of a local media suffered as a result.

Human rights activist Ruben Melikyan said there is a woman among those detained.

The situation in front of the prosecutor's office aggravated after the crowd started throwing eggs at the building.

The protest participants demand the release of several leaders of the Syunik community, who, according to them, were detained illegally.
