Protest held in Tbilisi before the government building - PHOTO

A mass protest in the capital of Georgia ended before the government administration building.

Georgian Bureau of Report informs that protesters voiced slogans "Long live Georgia!" and "Go!" during the march to the administration building.

Some participants of the action also chanted "Gakharia, leave!". The protesters sang the national anthem of Georgia and voiced three demands at the end of the march.

The protesters demanded the resignation of Minister of Internal Affairs Giorgi Gakharia, the release of 305 people, who were detained during protests on June 20 and hold early parliamentary elections under the proportional electoral system.

Notably, today the participants of the action will make a car march from the first Republic square to the building of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The protest will continue in front of the Parliament building at 19:00.
