Baku. 24 September. REPORT.AZ/ The Constitutional Court of Moldova temporarily suspended President Igor Dodon from his post.
Report informs citing the Interfax that such a decision was adopted by the Constitutional Court at the request of MPs from the Democratic Party.
The decision of the Constitutional Court is aimed at enabling the chairman of the parliament, as acting president, to sign a decree appointing the Minister of Health, Social Protection and Family, as well as the Minister of Agriculture, and Minister of Environmental Protection and Regional Development.
Dodon repeatedly refused to appoint candidates nominated by the Prime Minister for these posts. According to the legislation of Moldova, the president has the right to reject nominees proposed by the prime minister, but only once. When re-nominating the same candidates, he must sign and make public.
