Potato action held outside presidential palace in Georgia

A symbolic action was held in front of the Presidential Palace in Tbilisi.

According to Report's local bureau, members of the organization "Together at home - in Georgia" brought bags of potatoes to the Presidential Palace.

The protesters demand the resignation of President Salome Zourabichvili.

The head of the organization Salome Chelidze said that the potato is associated with the coming to power of the President: "We all have free potatoes. We will distribute them symbolically, and it will last until Salome Zourabichvili resigns."

The Georgian opposition has accused the ruling party "Georgian Dream" of bribing votes in favor of Zourabichvili in exchange for potatoes and onions.
