Participants of anti-government protests on May 11 blocked the entrances to the Yerevan City Hall building, Report informs referring to Sputnik-Armenia.

Earlier, the coordinator of the "Resistance" movement, Ishkhan Saghatelyan, stated that not only the streets, but also state institutions would be blocked as part of the disobedience rally.

Currently, the Yerevan municipality building is cordoned off by demonstrators, police are trying to push back the demonstrators. The situation is quite tense, there was a stampede. The demonstrators are chanting "Struggle!", "Police officer - not Nikol!" and other slogans.

The opposition motorcade rally has started in Yerevan from the car market in the administrative district of Erebuni, the motorcades will move in four directions. The opposition demands the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Report informs referring to Sputnik-Armenia.

Armenian flags are attached to the vehicles.

Gegham Manukyan, a member of the ARF Dashnaktsutyun party, a member of parliament from the Hayastan faction, told journalists that the goal of the motorcade rally is to inform citizens about the upcoming rally and urge them to join the opposition movement.

He noted that at 16:00 (GMT+4) everyone will gather at France Square, where a large rally is planned. Vehicles as part of the rally will be moving at a speed not exceeding 30 km/h.

Earlier, Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Ishkhan Saghatelyan noted that the struggle for the resignation of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had entered the final stage.

On May 2, protests organized by opposition forces resumed in the Armenian capital.
