Baku. 21 February. REPORT.AZ/ Official Washington has postponed the visit of Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan to the United States, because Armenia sent humanitarian and military aid to Syria together with Russia.
Report informs citing the Qraparak newspaper that the due information was provided by Armenian FM.
Though official Yerevan provided various reasons to justify humanitarian aid to Syria, the US Department of State does not consider them sufficient. According to the report, Mnatsakanyan had a telephone conversation with US Secretary of State Michael Pompeo, however the situation remained unchanged.
The newspaper writes that the Armenian side has long been waiting for Foreign Minister's visit to Washington and meetings with US officials, and has spent a lot to prepare for this meeting
Notably,on February 8, Armenia sent humanitarian aid to Syria with a staff of 83.
