New US envoy to Moscow, Russian deputy FM to meet early next week

New US Ambassador to Russia Lynne Tracy will be presented with her credentials early next week, Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Sergey Ryabkov said, Report informs referring to Russian media.

At the same time, he didn’t name the exact date, but specified that this procedure was agreed with Tracy.

“It will take place literally at the beginning of the week. It is assumed that the transfer of copies of credentials by Ambassador Tracy will be carried out to me,” he said.

Tracy’s predecessor, John Sullivan, left the post in September 2022 due to his wife’s serious illness. Tracy became the first woman in history to hold this post. She flew to Moscow on January 26.
