Mirzoyan: Armenia wants to be a connecting link between Azerbaijan and Türkiye

Armenia wants to be not an obstacle but a connecting link between Azerbaijan and Türkiye, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said, Report informs via Armenian media.

"The restoration of railway communication with Türkiye will open up great opportunities," he said.

"The Republic of Armenia does not want and is not ready to be a barrier, we live in the 21st century, where all countries want to have relations, trade, and movement with all other countries. This stems from the vital interests of states. We want to be not a barrier, but a bridge between other states, our neighbors," Mirzoyan said.

He also noted that the restoration of the Kars-Gyumri railway with Türkiye will open up great economic opportunities for Armenia.
