Mirzoyan, Araghchi mull possibilities of TRIPP

Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Ararat Mirzoyan has discussed the implementation of the TRIPP (Trump Route) project with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in Tehran, Report informs citing Armenian media with reference to the country's Foreign Ministry.

During the meeting, the parties emphasized the strategic nature of relations, which is reflected in the Armenian government's program for 2026–2031 and finds practical expression both in the dynamics of high-level dialogue and in the implementation of important programs.

The foreign ministers addressed the importance of constructing a second bridge on the Armenian–Iranian border, the early completion of the third power transmission line, as well as issues regarding the simplification of freight transport between the two countries.

"Mirzoyan presented information on the work being carried out to implement the TRIPP project and the new opportunities it opens for countries in the region. The ministers exchanged views on regional developments. In this context, Mirzoyan emphasized that Armenia is closely monitoring the current situation, noting in particular the importance of efforts aimed at resolving existing issues through negotiations," the foreign ministry emphasized.
