Lavrov: Russia counts on Ilham Aliyev’s participation in informal CIS summit

The Russian side expects that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev will take part in the informal summit of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), which will be held in St. Petersburg, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said when opening negotiations with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, Report informs referring to TASS.

"At the very end of the month, according to tradition, at the beginning of the Christmas days, meetings of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council and an informal CIS summit will be held in St. Petersburg, where we expect the participation of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, as it was in past years," Lavrov noted.
