Latvia suspends cooperation agreement with Belarus

The Government of Latvia has decided to suspend the agreement on economic, scientific and technical cooperation with Belarus from September 9, the Cabinet of Ministers of Latvia said, Report informs via TASS.

The Latvian Government accepted the decision because 'Belarus violated international law and supported Russia's war in Ukraine.'

In 2004, a bilateral agreement was signed between the governments of Belarus and Latvia to expand cooperation in industry, finance, transport, tourism, and agriculture.
