Krasheninnikov volcano in Kamchatka ejects ash to 6 km altitude

An ash plume rising to an altitude of 6 kilometers was recorded at the Krasheninnikov Volcano in Kamchatka, the Institute of Volcanology and Seismology of the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, said in a statement, Report informs via Russian media.
"Explosions lifted ash from the Krasheninnikov Volcano to 6 kilometers above sea level. The ash plume stretched about 160 kilometers to the east-southeast of the volcano," the statement said.
Meanwhile, Klyuchevskoy Volcano (Klyuchevskaya Sopka)—the highest active volcano in Eurasia—also emitted ash up to 8 kilometers high on August 5. Its slopes contain about 80 secondary explosive craters and cinder cones.
