The revolutionary court of Ahwaz, the center of Khuzestan province of Iran, issued a death sentence on 6 Arab political prisoners held in Sheyban prison, Report informs, citing the Ahwaz Human Rights Organization.

According to information, six more Arab citizens of Iran detained in Sheyban prison were sentenced to 5 to 35 years of imprisonment.

Tehran regime's pressure against political and social activists continues. 18-year-old Arin Kokhaizade started a hunger strike by sewing his lips in protest against the fact that his case was not considered in the central prison of Ilam city.

Lawyer Reza Khandan, the husband of Nasrin Sutoda, a human rights defender, social activist, who was repeatedly arrested and imprisoned for defending human rights, said that the judicial system of the Islamic Republic called for Nasrin Sutoda to be sentenced to 6 years in prison: "Despite the pretext of amnesty for political prisoners, pressure on civil society activists continues."
