Influenza virus spread in Georgia

Tbilisi. 11 December. REPORT.AZ/ Georgia has already confirmed the spread of flu virus through laboratory conditions.

Local Bureau of Report News Agency informs that the due statement came from Director General of the National Centre for Disease Control and Public Health, Amiran Gamkrelidze.

He said that during the laboratory examination, the influenza virus was confirmed in seven out of ten cases: “However, the doctors do not see ground on aggravation of virus in the future."

Gamkrelidze urged the population of the country to vaccinate against the flu: "However, it is important to observe the standards of hygiene, air the room and in case of high temperature, all family members should consult with doctor.

According to the head of the center, with the support of the state, 39,000 people were vaccinated against influenza, while 10,000 people received the support of the private sector.
