Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili on Friday cut short her visit to Belarus and is returning to Tbilisi, Report informs citing TASS.

"The President of Georgia is going to the airport, permission has been given for the departure of the aircraft," the source said.

As the TASS correspondent from the Government House of Belarus reports, Georgian journalists, who were expecting a meeting there between the Georgian President and Belarusian Prime Minister Syarhey Rumas, which was to be held on Friday morning, left the building in a hurry.

The President of Georgia arrived in Minsk on a visit on Thursday. It was planned that she would meet with President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, the Prime Minister and the heads of both chambers of the Belarusian parliament.

Also Zourabichvili as an honored guest was supposed to attend the opening ceremony of the 2nd European Games.

Notably, mass protests took place in the capital of Georgia, Tbilisi, demanding Russian delegates to leave the country immediately.
