Certain groups of citizens in Georgia have been allowed to receive the 4th dose of the coronavirus vaccine from today, Report informs.

The second booster dose against COVID-19 will be available to people aged 50 and older, aged 12-17 according to a doctor's prescription, and those aged 18-49 based on a certificate confirming the disease.

The fourth dose is also intended for medical staff. People in the 18-49 age group can also take the second booster dose when travelling abroad.

The second booster dose should be taken at least four months after the first booster dose.

The same or a different vaccine can be used for this dose.
